Pokémon Standard format and the 2026 rotation: which cards are legal

The regulation mark

Regulation mark, set code, number and rarity of a card
The regulation mark is the letter in the white box (here an I). Next to it: set code (M1L), number (064/063) and rarity (AR).

It's that letter, not the set or the rarity, that tells you whether a card is legal in Standard. On every card page in our shop you'll find it in the card's specs.

The 2026 rotation

With the 2026 rotation, cards with the G mark left the Standard format. Since then cards marked H, I, J and those from later sets are legal. For in-person tournaments the rotation has applied since 10 April 2026.

What about Japanese cards?

They carry the same mark as international cards, but official tournaments outside Japan use the languages permitted by the international rules. Below you'll find the mark of every Japanese set in our catalogue, taken from the cards themselves.
