Beautiful cheap Pokémon cards: the best artwork under €10

Why a beautiful card can cost little

The market rewards famous Pokémon: Charizard, Pikachu, Eevee, the legendaries. An AR of a less-known Pokémon, even if beautifully drawn, has fewer collectors looking for it, so it costs less. For artwork lovers it's an opportunity: for the price of one famous SAR you can fill a whole binder with ARs.

How to choose the most beautiful

• look at the scene: the best ARs tell a moment, they don't just pose the Pokémon;
• follow an illustrator: on the illustrator pages you'll find styles and cards;
• look for connected scenes: some cheap ARs join others into a single illustration, see the connected illustrations;
• complete a set: the twelve ARs of a main expansion often cost less than you'd think.
