Who is Mitsuhiro Arita
A self-taught Japanese illustrator born in 1970 in Fukuoka, he has drawn Pokémon cards since the game began: he worked on the card prototypes when Pokémon only existed as sprites from the first video game, and he also drew the original Energy symbols. He has said himself that the Base Set Pikachu and Charizard changed his career.
